Professor Dariusz Zarzecki, dr hab.
is Head of Department of Investments and Business Valuation, University of Szczecin, Szczecin, ul. Mickiewicza 66, Poland. Professor Zarzecki holds a habilitation degree in economics (dissertation about Discounted Economic Income Methods). He is a frequent speaker to professional conferences and courses and an author of articles on various aspects of business valuation. Professor Zarzecki is also a director with Dariusz Zarzecki Doradztwo Ekonomiczne in Szczecin, Poland, and a member of the Supervisory Board of the Paper Mill SKOLWIN S.A. Previously he was a director with Deloitte & Touche in their Szczecin office and manager in the Mangement Consulting Department of Deloitte & Touche in Warsaw. From 2001 till 2002 President of the Supervisory Board of PKO BP S.A. - the biggest Poland's retail bank. Professor Zarzecki's practice includes business valuation and investment appraisal assignments. Professor Zarzecki conducted about 100 business appraisals, including assignments ordered by the Ministry of Treasury and Agency of Privatization. He was involved in many privatizations and restructuring programmes. He received several awards, including the Minister of Labour Award (1990 - for the best doctorate in the field of labour, wages and social affairs), and the Minister of Education Award (2000 - for a book on business valuation methods published by the Fundacja Rozwoju Rachunkowo�ci). Professor Zarzecki is President of the Programme Board of the MBA Programme in the University of Szczecin.
